MOREBUS is set to bolster its driving team after increasing services to pre-Covid levels.

The local bus operator transported key workers throughout lockdown, and is now welcoming an influx of customers who are returning to their previous travel habits across the network.

“These have been a difficult few months for businesses in Dorset - and Morebus has been no exception,” said Morebus general manager, David Heckles.

“Our team has worked incredibly hard to maintain bus services here, and now we excited to have re-instated our entire operation, albeit with social distancing measures in place.

“But we won’t stop there. We want to be ready to further respond to demand, and adding to our driving team will help us to do that.

“With a number of positions available for both licence holders and trainees, this is an excellent opportunity for those who may have lost their jobs during the coronavirus crisis to begin an exciting new career with Morebus.

“Those with a customer service or retail background will be particularly welcome. And it doesn’t matter if people haven’t driven a bus before. If they have the aptitude, we’ll do the rest.

“I’m delighted we’re in a position to be able to offer much-needed employment to local people, and I look forward to hearing from those wishing to join our team.”

Successful applicants will receive full training, uniform and free travel for themselves and a nominee. Full and part time positions are available.
