JUMPING dogs and racing donkeys provided entertainment for watching crowds during a charity event in Christchurch.
The Stanpit recreation ground in Mudeford was the venue for the Barks and Brays fund-raising show on September 18, 2000.
Spectators were treated to a donkey derby, dog show, horse display and canine fly ball competition - the first time the contest has been featured outside of Crufts.
The fly ball race involved dogs leaping hurdles, before activating gates to release balls which they would return to their owners.
Half of the money raised from the event was donated to the Standard Poodle Rescue organisation.
The other half was divided among the Mayor of Christchurch's three nominated charities.
