CHILDREN might be back at school and the nights are starting to draw in but that did not stop hundreds of people from enjoying the September sunshine on the south coast.
While the numbers were nowhere near the height of summer, many visitors and residents still took the opportunity to spend a day at the beach on Monday.
With plenty of room to social distance and the weather set fair, sunseekers basked in highs of around 27C on the Dorset coast.
Similar temperatures are expected today, with the dry warm conditions also forecast for the rest of the week.
In Bournemouth yesterday, whether it was a walk along the pier, setting up outside the beach hut or taking a dip in the sea, beachgoes made the most of the glorious conditions.
