A SCHOOL in Christchurch has a confirmed adult case of coronavirus.
Mudeford Junior School headteacher Mark Partridge wrote to parents to advise them of a single confirmed Covid-19 case.
In a letter to parents, Mr Partridge said: “We have been advised by Public Health England that there has been a confirmed adult case of COVID-19 within the school.
“We are continuing to monitor the situation and are working closely with Public Health England. This letter is to inform you of the current situation and provide advice on how to support your child. Please be reassured that for most people, coronavirus (COVID-19) will be a mild illness.
“The school remains open and, providing you child remains well, they can continue to attend school as normal.”
Mudeford Junior School became the fourth Dorset school in the past two days to have confirmed cases.
Queen Elizabeth’s School in Wimborne had two confirmed student cases, while Bournemouth’s St Peter’s Roman Catholic School and Kingsleigh Primary School informed parents that a pupil at each school had tested positive for coronavirus.
