A BOURNEMOUTH based rock band are paying tribute to a friend who sadly passed away in the summer with the release of a new music video.
South Of Salem, a band made up of five friends, decided to dedicate their single 'Demons Are Forever' to Josh Huxter, someone who was considered a massive part of the music scene in Bournemouth.
Lead vocalist Joey Draper said: "He was at every live show and he was just the most smiley and happy guy - he was everyone’s friend. Josh was so happy, or so it seemed on the surface."
"When he died, it was a shock for us and hit quite hard."
To combat their grief and to remember their friend, the band collectively decided to do something as a tribute to Josh.
Joey said: "The song is very personal and deals with grief, so we made a video for it and asked people to get involved. The video features fan tributes to those lost and survivors of suicidal thoughts."
South Of Salem will include a donation link to Mind, a UK mental health charity, in the description of the music video on Youtube as well as on their social media pages.
Joey added: "We hope people can find solace in this music video and see that those who have had similar thoughts and lost loved ones have gotten through the pain. It sheds a positive light on the situations."
The music video for 'Demons Are Forever' was released on September 10.
