A BOURNEMOUTH pub has reopened following a deep clean after a confirmed case of coronavirus.

The Anvil Rockbar in Holdenhurst Road closed on September 9 after a customer visited the bar on the evening of September 3 between 10am and 1pm and tested positive for Covid-19.

However, the bar has now reopened.

A post on the bar’s Facebook page said: “After a deep clean, and an anti-viral fogging to make this dude proud, we are back open tonight.

“Our staff working have also been tested and given the all clear. Bear even bathed, bringing his yearly count to two, so you know we're taking it seriously.

“Joking aside, we are continuing to use our system inside of seated tables and service at the bar, however we must take this opportunity to re-iterate/update a few things.”

The bar confirmed it is operating a first come, first serve basis, customers will be given a laminate of their table number and the guidelines on arrival, and there are three squares at the bar for service.
