THREE lethal knives were seized by police following a street robbery in Bournemouth last night.

Officers were called to Madeira Road at 8.42pm to reports that a man had been approached and threatened with a knife.

Police said robbers had made demands for money and fled with a small amount of cash. the victim was not injured.

A search of the area was carried out and a 20-year-old man from Bournemouth was arrested on suspicion of robbery. A 27-year-old man from Poole has been arrested on suspicion of robbery and possession of a knife in a public place. They are both assisting officers with their enquiries. Three knives were recovered.
