EMERGENCY Service teams were alerted after a man was injured at Durdle Door.

A spokesman for Lulworth Coastguard Rescue Team said: "The team were paged at 14:00 on Friday to a male with an ankle injury on the Durdle Door steps.

"The man was located, and found to be receiving first aid from one of the Lulworth Rangers.

"Lulworth CRT delivered casualty care for a short while before Lulworth First Response arrived, followed be South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust.

"The paramedics administered pain relief and splinted the mans leg while the coastguard team prepared their stretcher.

"The casualty was placed onto the stretcher and with help from the rangers, lifted to the viewpoint.

"Estate staff then transferred the man to the top of the hill and into an ambulance for a more detailed assessment.

"With the man safely in the back of the ambulance the team stood down and returned to station."
