THE popular Eat Out to Help Out scheme will be coming to an end on Monday, August 31.

However, a number of restaurant chains are continuing to offer a 50 per cent discount for another two weeks.

According to Extreme Couponing, the chains with branches across Dorset taking part include…

  • Harvester – restaurants at Cooper Dean, Durley Chine, Alder Road in Poole, Boscombe seafront and Hinton in Christchurch
  • Toby Carvery – restaurants at Cooper Dean, Northbourne, Christchurch and Fleets Corner in Poole Pizza Hut – branches at Westover Road, Christchurch Retail Park and Tower Park
  • The Coconut Tree - 185-187 Old Christchurch Road, Bournemouth

Meanwhile, The Brass Haus in Westover Road, Bournemouth, has announced it is extending its 50 per cent off food and soft drinks offer between Mondays and Wednesday until September 9. Terms and conditions apply.

Tesco Café has extended its offer across its food and drink menu, to the end of September. Originally inspired by the Government-led “Eat Out to Help Out”scheme, Tesco Café is offering 50% off its full menu with no limits on the discount, for dine in and takeaway, Monday-Wednesday.

Hall & Woodhouse is extending the ‘Eat Out To Help Out’ scheme in the majority of its managed pubs until the end of September. Guests will continue to receive 50% off food and non-alcoholic drinks, up to the value of £10 per person. Pubs offering the discounts Monday to Wednesday between September 1 and 30th are The Crown in Blandford, The Grasshopper in Parkstone and The Ship in Weymouth. The Brewery Tap in Blandford will be running the offer on Tuesdays and Wednesdays between September 2 and 30 and The Monmouth Ash in Verwood, Yachtsman in Poole and Angel in Longham will have the offer Mondays to Wednesdays between September 2 and 30.

The Real Greek, which has a branch at BH2, will be offering 50 per cent off everything from its lunch menu and Filoxenia Dinner Menu every Monday to Wednesday between September 1 and 30. Aruba is extending the Eat Out to Help Out offer Mondays to Wednesdays throughout September. Diners will receive up to £10 off their food bill. A walk-in system will be operating between 10am and 6pm daily. It will be made on a first come, first served basis. Bookings for dinner from 6pm can be made online.

Anything else?

Deliveroo has announced that it will offer customers a discount in September to encourage them to “eat in to help out”, after the Government’s restaurant subsidy scheme ends next week.

The delivery giant said that it would offer £5 off an order of £20 or more during the first three days of each week in September.
