LATEST figures have shown a further three confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Dorset.

The figures, released by the government, show one confirmed case in the BCP Council area in the last 24 hours.

This means the total for the BCP area stands at 877 cases since the start of the pandemic.

In the Dorset Council area, two new cases have been confirmed in the last 24 hours.

The total number of cases in the Dorset Council area therefore stands at 654.

The rate of infection in the BCP area is currently 221.8, while in Dorset it is 172.8.

Elsewhere, two new cases were confirmed in the New Forest.

This means the total number of cases in the forest is 490 with an infection rate of 272.1.
