Pub gardens will be packed with thirsty punters this bank holiday, in pursuit of ice-cold drinks and a slice of the end of summer sunshine.

With more pubs and beer gardens than you can shake a stick at, we’ve compiled a list of our favourite in Bournemouth.

Let us know in the comments if we've missed out your favourite.

Sixty Million Postcards

Exeter Road, BH2 5AF, 01202 292697

The bright and colourful beer garden at Sixty is a perfect place to wind away the last of the summer days with good pals and good bevs.

The large patio garden can be well covered in the event of a downpour with large umbrellas whilst there are also groovy, heated beach huts to cosy up in as the night gets cooler.

Urban Reef

Undercliff Drive, BH5 1BN, 01202 443960

Urban Reef is a cool beach front haunt great for groups and families alike.

The restaurant / bar is a great place to visit with kids as it boasts an upstairs terrace that must be pre-booked and a downstairs deck with easy access to the sea.

Although the decking doesn't leave much to the imagination, you cannot beat nature's own playground and there are first-come-first-served tables provided on the sand.

O'Neils

This Irish inspired chain pub has a large outside area with a decking and string fairy lights to help you see through the last of the summer.

George Tapps

Old Christchurch Road, BH1 1JZ, 01202 438001

The George Tapps is home to the largest beer garden in Bournemouth with a large terrace out the back.

The pub is named after Sir George Tapps who was a landowner and one of the founders of Bournemouth.

Brewhouse and Kitchen

Commercial Rd, BH2 5LU, 01202 055221

The Brewhouse has something for every price point and wonderful garden to spend your weekend in.

With astro turf, decking, beach huts and string lights it's a picturesque garden that makes up for the lack of sea view!
