A FLOWER farm in East Dorset has tripled the amount of flowers it is growing and renovated its potting barn into a flower shop and café.

Brothers Farm Flowers began trialling growing cut-flowers alongside its four acre field of organic blueberries in 2018.

Dan Benson, head grower, said: “Now in our third growing season we know a lot more about what grows well on our patch and have tripled the amount of flowers we are growing.

“To accompany the flowers, we have renovated the old potting barn into our flower shop/ and cafe so that anyone can come to buy seasonal fresh cut-flowers from June to August whilst having a coffee, flapjack and a nose around too.

“Flowers are all sold on a per stem basis so you can come and buy a very small bunch to give to your granny or order bucketfuls of colour to fill a marquee.

“This year, our new flower field will be open to the public to wander round, have a look and get some inspiration for whatever you might be planning.”
