FIREFIGHTERS rushed to tackle a blaze on the site of a Bournemouth school but the cause of the fire remains unknown.
Crews were called to Queen's Park Academy in East Way at 5.30pm on Wednesday evening.
The fire was located outside of a school building and thick black smoke could be seen rising into the skies from the scene.
Teams from Westbourne, Springbourne and Christchurch attended the incident, with support from the aerial ladder platform.
The blaze was extinguished using one hose reel jet, the aerial platform a ladder and smalls tools. The fire was dealt with by 6.15pm.
A fire service spokeswoman said: "Police were requested to attend but we have no confirmation of a cause at this time."
