A WOMAN was reportedly sexually assaulted by a man in Bournemouth Gardens.
The victim, a local woman aged in her 40s, met up with a man, who she had met two weeks previously, outside Boots in Commercial Road, Bournemouth, at around 2pm on Thursday, June 25.
They walked into Bournemouth Gardens to the play park near the tennis courts.
It is reported that the man then sexually assaulted the victim.
Police said the victim knows very little about him including his name.
Detectives investigating the incident in Bournemouth town centre have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak with.
DC Leila Whittle, of Bournemouth CID, said: “We have been carrying out a number of enquiries in a bid to identify a man who was seen with the victim on the day of the incident but these have so far been unsuccessful.
“I have now obtained a CCTV image of the man and I am appealing to anyone who recognises him to please contact Dorset Police.
“Officers are continuing to provide support to the victim.”
