A BOY was dragged off his bike before having it thrown towards him in an unprovoked attack on the promenade in Bournemouth.
The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was cycling with his friend on the seafront near to Aruba when a man approached and stepped out in front of them to stop them from cycling.
It was reported to police that the offender then dragged the victim off his bike and punched him. The culprit then picked up the bike and threw it towards him.
The teenager sustained injuries to his nose and bruising to his face.
Officers investigating the assault, which took place at around 9pm on Friday, July 24, have issued a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to.
PC Adam Steeves, of Bournemouth police, said: “Following enquiries I have obtained CCTV footage of a man I would like to speak to in connection with this incident.
“I would ask anyone who recognises him to please get in touch as soon as possible.”
