CHERRIES have increased security measures around their players' homes after Philip Billing's Poole property was the target of a burglary last night.

As first reported by Mail Online, Billing's address was burgled with tens of thousands of pounds worth of personal items and jewellery stolen.

It is understood that Billing, like many of his Cherries team-mates, is currently away on holiday with pre-season not due to begin at the club until August 17.

And with concerns more players' properties could be targeted as they post pictures from their holidays on social media whilst they are out of the country, Cherries have upped security measures for the foreseeable future following discussions with Dorset Police.

Danish midfielder Billing, 24, moved to Dorset last summer following a £15million transfer from Huddersfield Town.
