THERE'S nothing like hours of glorious sunshine when you have nothing to do but play on the beach - as these images prove.
Children turned out in their thousands on August 8, 1990 to enjoy free fun and games at Bournemouth and Boscombe beaches.
The event took place in the glorious sunshine as parents left them to get on with a hard day's play at the beach club.
There was crab football, volley ball, rounders, non-stop beach cricket, sand castle competitions, fill the basket, hot potato games and if that wasn't enough an elephant hunt.
