Firefighters from four different stations were called to a large area of crops on fire in north Dorset.
An area of approximately 200 metres by 150 metres of crops went up in flames yesterday evening in the village of Stourpaine, near Blandford Forum. The fire service was called just after 7pm.
Fire crews from Blandford, Poole, Sturminster Newton and Shaftesbury were sent out and the blaze was extinguished using five hose reel jets and beaters.
