Southbourne Coastguard called to assist Poole Coastguard on July 18
COASTGUARDS received several calls from worried members of the public after a kite surfer got into difficulty off the beach at Southbourne.
They went to the scene at 6.15pm last night and discovered that the surfer had been forced to swim to shore in failing wind.
The team stood down after checking the kite surfer was well and all kit was accounted for.
