POLICE reported a driver to court for travelling 73mph in a 40mph zone.
Officers in the Dorset Police No Excuse team caught the Honda Civic on Ringwood Road, Bearcross.
When stopped, the driver said: “I only bought the car last week, the wife’s not going to be happy I’ve been caught speeding already.”
Police said he was very apologetic and promised to slow down, however he was reported to copurt for traveling above the 66mph threshold of a fixed penalty.
