DRIVERS have been warned to expect long delays if they travel to Dorset this weekend.
Yesterday saw queues of 12 miles on the A31 as tens of thousands of people headed to the beach to make the most of the hottest day of the year so far.
A spokesman for Dorset Traffic Cops said: "Thanks for visiting Dorset, but our county is very busy and you are likely to face delays on your way home. Trains are likely to be busy and roads congested. Please be patient if you are delayed."
