Ahead of a warm weekend, the fire service is reminding people they do not encourage the use of disposable barbecues anywhere other than your own garden.
A spokesperson for Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said: "If you do use a disposable barbecue, it must be placed on an even surface on either bricks or paving slabs and well away from the house, shed or fences."
Dorset Police is also reminding pet owners about the dangers of leaving dogs in hot cars.
A spokesman said: "It's going to be a warm one today so here's a reminder not to leave your pets in the car, even for a few minutes."
