FIREFIGHTERS rushed to a New Forest hospital last night.
Two engines raced to Lymington New Forest Hospital at around 6.30pm on Thursday.
Despite the alarms blaring the callout to Wellworthy Road was a false alarm.
It had been triggered by air conditioning contractors doing work at the hospital.
Newly fitted air filters which gave off an "aroma" had activated the alarm system, according to Hampshire Fire and Rescue Service.
No other emergency services attended the incident and the stop message came in at 7.10pm.
