A MAN has been jailed for 10 weeks after assaulting a woman and causing criminal damage to her possessions.

Jamie Anthony Baron, aged 41 and of Grafton Road, Bournemouth, destroyed two windows, an iPad, a flower pot and a ceramic pot alongside assaulting his victim by beating her at an address in Bournemouth on May 26.

Baron appeared at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 15, where he was committed to prison for 10 weeks for the assault offence and six weeks concurrent for the criminal damage.

He had previously denied the charges, however, changed his plea to guilty.

The bench also ordered the defendant to pay £250 compensation and £250 costs.
