A MAN tried to barge his way back into a Harvester pub after being thrown out by staff.
Police have released a CCTV image after the incident at The Neptune near Boscombe pier.
Officers said two men were asked to leave the bar after they became volatile and upset other customers at about 9.30pm on Friday July 24.
The men left the building, but tried to regain entry shortly afterwards.
A member of staff stood in front of one of the men blocking their entrance and they hit the victim to the chest with the palm of their hand.
Police were called but the two men had already left the area.
Police Constable Dan Yates, of Bournemouth police, said: “Following enquiries I have obtained an image of a man I would like to speak in connection with this incident.
“I would urge anyone who recognises him to please get in touch.
“I am also keen to hear from anyone who may have witnessed the incident and has not already spoken to police.”
