A MAN who stole hundreds of pounds worth of items from TK MAXX stores has appeared in court.

Keelan Craig Maidment, 26, admitted stealing items to the value of £149 from the store at the Meteor Retail Park in Somerford on March 1 last year.

He also pleaded guilty to stealing clothing and handbags worth £329.96 from the company's store in Ringwood Road Retail Park in Bournemouth.

Maidment, of Romsey Road in Winchester, also admitted stealing a fleece worth £192.28 from Volsen in Barrack Road, Christchurch when he appeared before Poole magistrates.

He was ordered to pay £478.96 compensation, £85 costs, a £32 victim surcharge and a £40 fine.
