Gary Lee Haskell, aged 38 and of no fixed abode, was sentenced at Poole Magistrates’ Court on July 13 for the assault by beating offence, which took place in Poole on June 18.
He was also dealt with for having the knife in Pitwines Close, Poole, on June 30. The knife was forfeited and destroyed.
He was issued with a community order to undergo alcohol treatment for six months, as well as pay a £95 victim surcharge.
Haskell also admitted a breach of conditional discharge, made in June last year for two offences of being drunk and disorderly. No action was taken on the breach.
