A TEENAGER arrested in connection with a disturbance at an address in Parkstone that led to an armed police response has been released under investigation.

As reported, firearms officers rushed to Churchill Gardens following reports of an incident on the evening of Thursday, July 16.

A man was taken to hospital with facial injuries, which police said were believed to have been caused by a stun gun device.

Along with the armed officers, the police dog unit and NPAS helicopter assisted the police investigation.

Forensic teams could be seen in the area gathering evidence while a cordon was put in place in the area of Churchill Road.

Officers arrested 17-year-old boy from Poole on suspicion of inflicting grievous bodily harm.

A Dorset Police spokesperson said he had now been released under investigation.
