AN INVESTIGATION has been launched after a 4x4 overturned in a crash East Dorset and its occupants fled the scene.
Emergency services were called to Station Road in West Moors on Monday night to reports of a crash.
The vehicle involved, a red Mitsubishi 4x4, sustained extensive damage in the incident, which took place on the roundabout near the A31.
Police officers and a fire crew from Ferndown attended the scene.
A Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "We were called at 9.11pm on Monday, July 20, to reports of a fail to stop RTC on Station Road in West Moors.
"It was a single vehicle RTC involving a Mitsubishi 4x4, which overturned.
"All occupants of the vehicle are reported to have made off from the scene. There were no reports of any injuries. No arrests have made.
"An investigation is underway."
A Dorset & Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson added: "We received a call at 9.15pm on Monday about an RTC in West Moors.
"One crew from Ferndown attended the incident to assist and left just after 9.30pm."
