A TEENAGE boy was left with cuts to his nose, a lump on his head and other injuries to his body after an alleged assault in Wimborne.

Dorset Police was called at 6.41pm on Sunday June 19 to reports of an assault on a 16-year-old boy at Eye Bridge.

It is reported the boy was out with friends when two other boys approached and abused them before leaving the area at 3pm the same day.

The boys then allegedly returned with other teenage boys and assaulted the 16-year-old.

And now officers investigating the incident have appealed for witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.

Police constable Laura Nairn, of East Dorset police, said: “Officers attended to speak to the boy and his family and a full investigation is underway into the incident.

“I am appealing to anyone who witnesses the incident, or may have information to assist my investigation, to please get in touch.”
