WHERE does the “green” argument stand on the proposed building of 400 houses at Turlin Moor?
One road in and out of the estate, which joins slow-moving, two-way traffic, with he additional handicap of two lifting bridges at the Poole end. Toss into the mix any development of the old power station site, which will no doubt squeeze in as many properties as possible so as to maximise financial gain for the developers. How many more vehicles (many already stationary for long periods) will these projects add to the traffic flow on Blandford Road ?
The only plus side for those with “green” credentials be the necessity for local people to purchase bicycles to avoid any long delays that overpopulation and the building of an estate on green playing fields will cause. No doubt the planning consultants will beg to differ.
