A MAJOR police response was called to a residential area of Poole after a man was injured in the face by a "stun gun device".

A man was found with facial injuries. His condition is not believed to be serious but he has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Residents reported seeing armed police officers, the police dog unit and forensics teams in the area of Churchill Road, which was cordoned off by police. Ambulance crews also attended.
The NPAS helicopter could also be seen circling overhead for a couple of hours.
