POLICE uncovered a "massive" cannabis factory in a residential street after complaints from neighbours.

Officers were staggered to find five rooms full of the drug, all ready for harvest.

Officers from the Bournemouth North Neighbourhood Policing Team attended the property in Hendford Road, off Columbia Road in Ensbury Park, at 11.20am yesterday.

Around 200 plants wee seized but no arrests have been been made.

£1 million cannabis factory uncovered in Westbourne

A police spokesman said: "Thank you to the local residents for the intelligence on this massive cannabis factory that was just ready for harvest.

"The Neighbourhood Policing Team attended Hendford Road following reports of cannabis cultivation. Plants that were ready for harvest have now been seized and the premises has been made safe. Investigation is in full flow."

The factory was discovered less than a month after a similar raid in Westbourne.
