COASTGUARDS airlifted a person with suspected heat stroke from the beach at Durdle Door.

Crews from Kimmeridge and Lulworth attended, along with an ambulance and the coastguard helicopter from St Athan.

The beach was cleared to allow the helicopter to land and the person was taken to hospital.

Crews were then diverted to a track leading to the beach where a person had suffered a fractured ankle.

The person was carried on a stretcher and taken back up the track to a waiting ambulance.

Crews were also told there was an unconscious person in the car park but discovered a person had fainted and had been taken home by family members.
