AN ARREST has been made in connection with an assault in a Bournemouth park.
As reported, a man, aged in his 20s was taken to hospital after sustaining serious head injuries in an attack in King's Park on Tuesday night.
Police were called to the scene by the ambulance service.
The victim's condition was described as "serious".
Providing an update on their investigation yesterday, a Dorset Police spokeswoman said: "A person has been arrested on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm with intent and is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.
"We are unable to give further details about the arrested person at this time for investigative reasons."
On Wednesday a cordon was put in place at the southern entrance to King's Park, near the skate park.
