THE Sandbanks Ferry service was temporarily suspended for “essential repairs” this morning.
Operators said that the repairs were “small but essential” in a tweet at 10.15am this morning.
7th July, 10.15am: FERRY SERVICE TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED to carry out some small but essential repairs. We’ll update you as soon as we have a restart time. Last Studland ferry at 10.30am, last Sandbanks ferry at 10.40am. Thanks for your patience.

The service stopped after the 10.40am Sandbanks ferry departure.
Just before midday, operators said: "Apologies for the short suspension in service while the minor issue was resolved.
