Police are becoming increasingly concerned for the welfare of a missing Christchurch man.

Duncan Hewitt, who is 60 years old, left his home at around 2pm on Monday, July 6, but has not returned.

He was reported missing at 0.54am on Tuesday, July 7.

He is described as white, five feet eight inches tall and of medium build with grey short hair.

Duncan might be in his car – a white Mitsubishi Outlander with the registration FJ64 HBP.

Chief Inspector Lance Cliff, of Dorset Police, said: “When Duncan was last in contact with his family, he sounded very upset. Therefore we are becoming increasingly concerned for his welfare and need to find him urgently.

“I am hoping that somebody may have seen him or his vehicle since he left his home and might be able to assist us finding Duncan.”
