NO hospital patients have died with coronavirus in Dorset for three weeks.

The last death occurred at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital on June 15 and 155 people have died in the county’s hospitals since the pandemic started.

A total of 67 patients have died at Royal Bournemouth Hospital and 48 patients have died at Poole Hospital.

While 24 people have died at Dorset County Hospital and 16 people have died at the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Foundation Trust.

NHS England officials said a further 15 people who tested positive for the Covid-19 had died in the past 24 hours.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England is 28,904.

The patients were aged between 42 and 93 years old.

All patients had known underlying health conditions.

None of the deaths occurred in hospitals in the south west.
