POOLE based charity PramaCare will be taking part in the inaugural Glad to Care awareness week next week, to celebrate those who work in the care sector, especially during current challenging times.

The campaign, to be launched on Monday July 6 by Person Centred Software, provides the chance to promote the positives of care, and the work that is being done in the care industry.

With plans for the event to take place annually, the organisers are encouraging those who work in the industry, and the wider community, to take part to show carers that they are appreciated and to raise their morale.

Prama will be showing their support for their own team of Care Support Workers, who have continued to work tirelessly on the front line, alongside NHS staff during the pandemic, with social media posts throughout the week.

Speaking of the charity’s work in the care sector, Director of Care at PramaCare, Neil Stevens, said: “Our care support team assist older people in the local area, helping them to remain independent in their own homes.

“The Glad to Care campaign allows the perfect chance to highlight the valuable work that our care support staff provide to the local community.

“We are proud to be a part of the care sector and hope to encourage others to show their appreciation for those who provide care to others.”
