PLANS to enlarge a bungalow in a Hampshire village have been rejected for the second time.
Guy Walker lodged an appeal after his application to build a single-storey extension a property in Pinewood Drive, Hythe, was refused by New Forest District Council.
But government-appointed planning inspector Guy Davies has rejected the appeal.
Mr Davies said: "The proposed extension would intrude into part of the open space that characterises the estate.
"It would be prominent in views along Furzedale Park, interrupting what is currently a largely open vista.
"The extension has been designed to reflect the form and materials used on the existing bungalow and there are a number of shrubs between the bungalow and the road.
"However, none of these features mitigate to any significant extent the harmful visual impact."
