See the tiny speck circled in the water?

This man swam the route in yellow. But due to the tide was pulled significantly to the west.

Poole Police highlighted the dangers with this picture taken at Durdle Door.

A spokesman said: "Despite apparent calm conditions, he was swimming against the tide for some time before making it to shore, thankfully safely.

"Durdle Door is beautiful. But please do not underestimate this location.

"Whilst the water looks inviting, once eight metres from shore, the shelf drops into deep water.

"Currents, rips and changing tides are hugely prevalent here.

"There are no lifeguards on duty at this location.

"If you enter the water further than 8 metres from shore you are placing yourself at significant risk.

"We urge visitors to #Think before they act.

"Help is a greater distance away than you think.

"If you are visiting this UNESCO location, lets ensure we keep it looking stunning by taking rubbish home. If you brought it to the beach, please take it home and dispose of it."
