A new Weymouth land train launches this summer.
Operator Tony Poole says it will run between the Esplanade and Hope Square daily and will be starting in mid July.
Mr Poole said Dorset Trading Standards and Public Health have both given their blessing to the social distancing measures installed on the train.
The new service is part of Mr Poole’s plans to regenerate the area.
He also wants the land train to inform visitors about the town’s history.
When plans were announced last year it was said the plan would be for the train to tow three carriages, each holding approximately 16 passengers, and will travel at 10mph around the town.
Weymouth Town Council has given its support.
