A 15-year-old girl has been arrested after a teenage boy was stabbed in Christchurch.
The 16-year-old sustained an injury to his face in Stour Way on Tuesday night just before 10pm.
The victim was taken to hospital by the ambulance service for treatment to injuries that are described as not life-threatening or life-changing.
A cordon was put in place at the junction with River Way while detectives carried out an investigation of the scene.
It has now been lifted.
A 15-year-old girl from Bournemouth was arrested at the scene on suspicion of conspiring to cause grievous bodily harm with intent.
She is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.
Dorset Police said the arrested girl and injured boy are known to each other.
A full investigation is underway into the incident.
