POLICE have witnessed a “another dangerous, reckless and thoughtless driver” driving at 83mph in a 40 zone.
Officers recorded a 2019 Mercedes E220 going at more than twice the limit on Ringwood Road, Bear Cross.
They said the driver was 19 years old and was driving a courtesy car.
They also learned that, in the first two years of driving, the driver had lost his licence once for driving with no insurance. He had retaken his test and gained his licence back with six points.
Police said on Facebook: “We are sorry to report drivers to court but if you are going to exceed the speed limit and drive dangerously then expect a court hearing and to lose your licence.”
Police also recorded a Golf and a Mokka going at more than 60mph at the same location.
