TWO major sets of roadworks that have caused delays for Bournemouth Christchurch and Poole drivers are due to come to an end next week.

BCP Council say that the works in Alder Road, in Poole, and Barrack Road, in Christchurch, are expected to finish next Friday.

Temporary traffic lights have been operational in Alder Road at its junction with Mossley Avenue since June 4.

They have been needed while Southern Gas Network carried out maintenance work.

Meanwhile, the work at the Barrack Road and Stour Road junction has been as a result of maintenance work also carried out by Southern Gas Network.

The temporary traffic lights that have been operating are due to be lifted on Friday.

BCP Council have warned that until the work is finished delays are to be expected.
