AN ESTATE agents based in Southbourne worked with Tesco to create more than 120 personalised care bags for paramedics and 999 call centre staff helping fight coronavirus.

Taylor Made created the care bags filled with snacks, small food items and drinks after a similar project helping nurses proved successful.

Managing director of Taylor Made, John Stein, said: “Due to the success of the first project I wanted to extend something similar to our local paramedics and 999 call centre staff because I am very conscious of the extreme dedication and commitment being demonstrated by them during this unprecedented time.

“They are the unsung heroes working hard behind the scenes with often very little in the way of recognition but nevertheless providing a vital role.

“They are the very backbone of the fantastic service being provided by the NHS past present and future.”

Mr Stein said the packages included handwritten notes thanking the recipient on behalf of Taylor Made and Tesco.

He continued: “Taylor Made is very proud to be in partnership with Tesco by way of this second joint project.

“It has been a great honour to be able to put this project together and to give as many NHS staff these care bags as we can to show by way of a small token to appreciation and gratitude.

“Last Wednesday we attended the SWAST centres at St Leonards that control and run all our local 999 and 111 ambulances which was arranged as a total surprise for all the paramedics and call centre staff.

“Dorset Police very kindly provided the transport for the bags we made up and I arranged for Dorset Fire & Rescue to also attend to show support to fellow key workers.”
