POLICE launched a search operation for a man said to be in distress.
Officers from Poole, the traffic unit, firearms officers, a dog unit and the NPAS helicopter were all involved in the search in the Corfe Castle area last night.
Following an extensive search the male was located safely by officers and left in the care of paramedics.
