NO new coronavirus-related deaths have been recorded in Dorset’s hospitals for more than a week. 

The figure for the county remains at 152. 

The number of deaths at Royal Bournemouth and Christchurch Hospitals remains at 65.

The last death at the hospital was on May 28.

Poole Hospital has recorded 48 deaths with the last occurring on June 1.

Meanwhile, Dorset County Hospital has recorded 24 deaths with the Dorset Healthcare University NHS Trust reporting 15 deaths since March 1.

Nationally, another 83 people who have died after testing positive for Covid-19 in the past 24 hours, NHS England said.

The total number of confirmed reported deaths in hospitals in England currently stands at 27,790.

The patients, who were aged between 26 and 102-years-old, all had known underlying health conditions.

Their families have been informed.

Two of the deaths occurred in hospitals in the south west.
