A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life after a fire at a property in Bournemouth.
Dorset Police was called by the fire service to a report of a fire in the front room of the ground floor building in Kittiwake Close at 2.47pm on Wednesday.
Officers attended and closed the road for the safety of the public and to allow the emergency services to safely deal with incident.
Fire crews from Christchurch, Springbourne and Redhill attended along with three officers after being alerted to the fire at 2.44pm.
The blaze was extinguished using four breathing apparatus, two hoses and ventilation.
There were no reports of any injuries.
The fire was extinguished by 3.25pm.
Dorset Police said: “A woman has been arrested on suspicion of arson with intent to endanger life. She is currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.”
