A MAN was attacked with a pool cue during a fight outside a Boscombe takeaway.

Police have issued CCTV images following the violent incident outside the Golden Grill House in Christchurch Road, Bournemouth.

Officers were called at 10.50pm on Sunday May 24 to reports of a fight involving a group of people.

They were told two men hit another man with a weapon, believed to be a pool cue.

Following a search of the area on the night, two Bournemouth men, aged 19 and 23, were arrested on suspicion of affray. The 23-year-old was also arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon in a public place. They have been released under investigation while enquiries continue.

Police Sergeant Lynne Cooper, of Dorset Police’s Volume Crime Team, said: “We have obtained CCTV images of a man we would like to speak to in connection with this incident.

“While I appreciate the images are not of the best quality, I am hoping someone may recognise him from his clothing.

“If you recognise the man, please get in touch as soon as possible.”
